Grab your helmet, tune up your bike, and snap in those shoes, The Tour of the Valley returns to the area for the second straight year. “Cycling events kind of grow,” says race co-director Dan Quinlan. “You go to cycling events and it’s the 30th annual and the 25th annual, and so they kind of have this classic effect where once people get hooked into it, they plan their entire year into coming back to that event.”
At least 200 entries, including riders on four teams from a high-level body for the sport of cycling, are entered in the Tour of the Valley this weekend. The Tour, this year sponsored by Youngstown Live, begins late Friday afternoon in Berlin Center in Ellsworth Township with a time trial
