Friday, July 9, 2010 Time Trial

    Event Start Time:

  • First rider takes off at 5:00pm and they proceed in :30sec intervals.
  • Course is a 10 mile “turn around style” time trial.

What is a Time Trial?
Cyclists ride 10 miles by themselves as fast as they can. The fastest time wins!


Saturday, July 10, 2010 Columbiana Road Race

    Event viewing schedule:

  • Kids Race and Bike Rodeo begins at 10:00 am
  • Amateur racers begin at 11:00am, estimated finish time 12:00-1:00pm
  • Men’s Pro Race leaves at 12:00pm, estimated finish time 2:30-3:30pm. The last 20 minutes of the Men’s Pro race will finish on an exciting 1 mile circuit at over 30 MPH! in Downtown Columbiana.
    Where:

  • The start/finish line is on Main St, Columbiana (just south of the circle)

What is a Road Race?
A 33 mile loop that the riders race in their own category based on level of experience and skill. These are typically hilly and a test of fitness!


Sunday, July 11, 2010 Downtown Youngstown Criterium and Community Ride

    Event Start time:

  • Amateur races begin at 9:00am and last 30-45 minutes each.
  • Men’s Pro Race begins at 1:10pm and finishes at 2:30pm
    Where:

  • The start/finish is on W Federal St just west of the Market St.

What is a Criterium?
A 1 mile loop around the streets of central downtown business district. Riders race upwards 30-35 mph down straightaways and accelerate out of the sharp turns to keep fans at the edge of their seats.
